March marks the return of Don Draper and the rest of Sterling Cooper (or the advertising firm formally known as Sterling Cooper now that they’ve struck out on their own because of those bloody Brit’s at Powell Putnam and Lowe) Only 18 days until the DVD release of the third season but until then click on the heading to link to an article about the drinking habits of Don and the rest of MM on the guardian.co.uk.

This article reminds me of the infinite wisdom of a Lifetime Original Movie (as most things do) The film in question, “The Party Never Stops: Diary of a Binge Drinker”, follows the main character, played by Sara Paxton (who would later star as Aquamarine with JoJo and Julia Roberts’s niece…), as she binge drinks her way through hell and redemption. At the time, the Wilde crew kept telling Aqua to just be like Shanna, her equally destructive but less dramatic roommate…that is until Shanna died from alcohol poisoning, a fate the main character escaped.

From this tragedy a new phrase was born at the Wilde: “Party like Shanna, but one drink less.” This is perhaps the advice that Don Draper needs….or it is meaningless rant about Lifetime…your choice.
